For ladies, we offer a range of free beauty amenities at reception, including various kinds of face mask and other skincare products such as moisturiser, toner, and cleansing foam, also cotton pads and sticks. This is along with the bath amenities including shampoo, conditioner, bath powder, a hairdryer, plenty of soft towels and a Japanese style yukatta gown and slippers to wear.

Onsen Spa

Are you interested in experiencing an authentic Japanese Onsen Spa or Finish style sauna? Our hotel guests and public visitors are welcome to use these facilities anytime 24 hours a day.

The facility is for men’s use only. Please note It is common Japanese custom for no bathing wear to be worn, and for men with any tatoos to be prohibited from using the facility (those with covered tatoos also). Very drunk or aggressive behaviour is not tolerated.

The source of the Onsen is a natural Sodium Chloride hot spring.

Health benefits of the hot spring water may bring relief with neuralgia, joint pain, sensitivity to cold, fatigue and other conditions, the water can also have a skin cleansing and smoothing effect.

Sauna

Our sauna is a reproduction of an authentic Scandinavian Finish style sauna. Loyly, which is a process of adding water with aromatic oils to the stones of the sauna stove, generates vapour and increases humidity, thereby increasing sweating and helping to improve the metabolism.

The walls of the sauna room are constructed with die backed wood from Finland called (KELO) which further adds to the authentic experience of a Finish style sauna.

Charcoal Steam Sauna

Our charcoal saunas use the benefits of charcoal, and is the material of the sauna walls. The charcoal is known to enhance blood circulation with it’s deodorizing, purifying, infra-red and high wave effects which can also improve the metabolism.

Tenmonkan

Hotel New Nishino is situated in the heart of downtown Kagoshima city in the ‘Tenmonkan’ area – which is very convenient location if you happen to visit either as a tourist or on business. It is only a 3 minute walk from the main street where there are many shops and restaurants that serve various cuisine and local dishes such as ‘Shabu Shabu’ hot pot with black pork. There is a major convenience store with a cash ATM nearby, also a post office and supermarket, all within a 5 minute walk. Look out for the Polar bear shave ice sold too which is another Kagoshima favourite!

While in the center, why not walk around the promenade to check out the variety of shops, cafés and restaurants. Notice how the promenades on each side of the tram lanes has a different character.

The name ‘Tenmonkan’ originates from an astronomical observatory that was once located in the area at the time of the ruling Satsuma Clan during the Edo period. And there are many museums, attractions and tours available to explore the regions unique and interesting history.
